April 2013—Spring is late coming this year. When the first warm days arrived suddenly in mid-April, there were still no leaves on the trees. Only the first few woodland flowers were blooming in the forests of the Jura. Snow still capped the mountains, but the streams were spashing with melted snow. A warm, clear Sunday afternoon was the perfect time for a walk with the camera in the Creux de l'Envers near Gex, France.
